Remembering the Homefront in WWII. Listen to some brief oral histories while viewing memorabilia of those who experienced WWII right here in Cleveland in a short power point presentation. Participants then use oversize want ads from the newspapers and other WWII memorabilia such as ration books and canned goods to fill in the story of wartime rationing of food, shoes, gasoline, tires, and metals. Other hands-on materials relate to recycling drives by school children, and war stamp and war bond campaigns.
