I hope that this letter finds everyone ready for all the fun that the summer brings to Chagrin Falls! One sure sign is the opening of the Farmer’s Market!

Beginning on Sunday June 2, and running until October 20 from 10 am -1 pm, Your HomeTown Chagrin Falls is pleased to bring the market to town!! This will be our sixth season of partnering with North Union to bring an award winning market to the village.

Please mark your calendars, and come on down to town! The market will be brimming with plants, produce, meats, honey, pasta and baked goods…time to catch up with the farmers that we have come to know and appreciate!! We will continue our popular “chef at the market” with Matt Anderson from Umami Asian Kitchen and Dave Apthorpe and Ian Thompson the new chefs at Radius at South Franklin Circle. Look for them to be creating seasonal delights on the last Sunday of every month!

The Cleveland Clinic Chagrin Falls Family Health Center will be offering Heart Healthy Screenings for free to the community on July 14 and September 15. The Heart Healthy Screenings includes total cholesterol, blood glucose and blood pressure testing. Cleveland Clinic will also provide a free healthy cooking demo on July 14.

Your HomeTown Chagrin Falls raises the funds to pay North Union Farmers Market the fee to manage the market through its annual funding programs and company sponsorships. The sponsors include the Cleveland Clinic Chagrin Falls Family Health Center, Bell Street Marathon, Chagrin Valley Chiropractic & Acupuncture Center, First Federal of Lakewood, Harris Realty Company, Inc., Peppertree Capital Management, Property Belkin and South Franklin Circle, all of whom have contributed to help make the market a wonderful community event for 2013.
