First Thursdays
Our First Thursday program throughout 2011 was great fun. On the first Thursday of each month from September through December, merchants within the historic village remained open until 9 pm to welcome visitors to their shops with special promotions such as trunk shows, guest artists and First Thursdays Chagrin Falls store discounts. Restaurants in the village participated by offering special happy hours and other food promotions at many of the locations.
As an added bonus, some Thursdays had scheduled special activities like concerts or free hayrides. For two months, our merchants offered a chance to win a $25 gift certificate if you spend $25 to encourage local shopping during the holiday shopping season.
