Historic Home And Garden Tour

Your HomeTown Chagrin Falls is proud to present the Chagrin Falls Historic Home and Garden Tour. The Walking Tour will take place on Friday, May 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday, June 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Featured are five select historic homes and gardens all within walking distance of downtown Chagrin Falls. There is one tour home on Maple Street and four tour homes on Bell Street highlighting the broad range of historic architecture within the Village of Chagrin Falls.  Earlier tour homes include a ca. 1860 Western Reserve style Upright and Wing home, and a ca 1872 brick Italianate home constructed by English builder William Hutchings originally on a 20 acre parcel along Bell Street.  Another tour home was originally located on the site of St. Joan of Arc Church and moved to the corner of Bell Street and Ridgewood Rd. in the 1950’s.  A recently restored Queen Anne style home at the corner of Maple and Walnut Streets is also included on the tour along with a twentieth century restored American Four Square type home constructed in 1912.

Spend the day and experience the ambiance and style of these homes which are part of the important architectural heritage of the Village. There will be van transportation provided in the Village by Hamlet Retirement Community for those who need assistance. The Women’s Committee of the Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is serving its Famous Salad Luncheon Buffet on Friday, May 31 at Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, 40 River Street between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For $15 enjoy salads, desserts and beverages. Pre-sale tickets for the Historic Home and Garden Tour may be purchased for $20 from Monday, April 15 until Thursday May 30 at the Visitors Center in Township Hall at 83 N. Main Street daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and at the following locations until Thursday, May 30 at 5:00 p.m.: Timan Custom Window Treatments; Chagrin Card and Gifts; Imagery Fine Arts; Chagrin Pet, Garden and Power Equipment; Fireside Book Shop; Village Herb Shop; Heinen’s in Bainbridge; Lowe’s Greenhouse, Breezewood Gardens and Petitti Garden Center. Pre-sale tickets are also available by calling 440-247-1895 or online after February 5th.

On the day of the tour, tickets are $25 and will be available at the Visitors Center in Township Hall on Friday, May 31 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 1 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
