This book discussion and craft for grades 1-3 will have this week's
Chautauqua theme of the Middle East at the Chagrin Falls Branch Library.
We will discuss Listen to the Wind: The Story of Dr. Greg and Three Cups
of Tea, the true story of a man who became lost and delirious after an
unsuccessful trek to the top of K2, was saved by the locals of a remote
Himalayan village, and kept his vow to return one day to build them a
new school as a gesture of sincere appreciation and gratitude for what
they did for him in his time of need. Kite flying is a serious sport in
Afghanistan so after the discussion we will make and try to fly some
